Amla Juice is a vitamin rich, nourishing drink made by deseeding amla, cutting into small pieces and blending it. Amla Juice benefits are copious and could be consumed daily as an alternate to the regular tea / coffee in the mornings. How to make Amla Juice at home is explained in this post with step by step pictures and video.
Amla Juice is the best taste form to enjoy the benefit of the super food Amla which in Sanskrit mean “Nectar of life” as it eliminates the causes of diseases in body by balancing the 3 doshas. Amla is also called as Nellikai in tamil and Gooseberry in English.
About Amla Juice
Amla Juice is the nectar of the amla and is sour in taste. Amla Juice can be consumed as it is or with added taste & natural flavours. I have presented the Amla Juice recipe with salt. Natural Sweeteners like honey, jaggery, dates syrup neutralise the sourness of Amla and gives a subtle sweetness so that it can be enjoyed by kids as well. I suggest to go for this juice at least once a week if not daily!
Amla Juice can also be bottled & refrigerated for even months so that we can just make in seconds by adding water & sweetener and enjoy. Amla Juice hence can help save your time in the busy mornings and a healthy replacement for tea / coffee / packed fruit drinks and other carbonated drinks.
