Just back from the trip to CBE,had a funfilled week with family, relatives and friends. I was not accessible to net for these days though mobile browsing now and then was a different story. I had kara pori during my trip and wanted to try it at home, and here it is….Kara pori is my favourite now that I can munch it anytimes as I can make it easily at home.

Kara Pori | Masala Pori
Ingredients
- 2 cups puffed rice / pori
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 3 tablespoon fried gram
- 15 curry leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- a generous pinch hing
- 4 nos garlic pods
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt as per taste
Instructions
- In a wide bottomed pan, heat oil – Add garlic fry for a minute then add curry leaves, add fried gram dal.
- Then add peanuts, fry until golden.
- Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder salt and hing. Mix well.
- Now add pori and toss it until its coated well.
- Allow it to cool and store in an airtight container.
- Crunchy guilt free snack – Murmura ready in minutes!
