I tried guacamole for the first time….I wanted to try this healthy dip but was not able to find avocado or I should say I coudnt find it when I wanted and when it was available I was not prepared to buy it. Finally last month when I went to Auchan supermarket here in ‘BrookeFields Mall’ avocados caught my eyes but they were not ripe, still I bought one and left it aside to ripen and within few days it was nice pulpy and soft ready to be served. I just googled around,referred few sites and got an idea of the guacamole recipe.This is sure a healthy alternate to the cheesy dips.

Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 avocado
- 2 tablespoon onion finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon tomato finely chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper powder / chat masala powder
- lemon juice from quarter lemon
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 2 teaspoon coriander leaves
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Choose ripe avocado which will be black outside…if you press with your fingers it will slightly be soft.
- Cut open avocado remove the seeds. Scoop out the avocado pulp with a spoon, mash it well without any lumps to make it smooth… Transfer it to a bowl.
- Get all your ingredients ready.
- Add the ingredients to the avocado pulp mix well.
- Then add pepper powder and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Serve Guacamole with toasted bread!
Notes
- You can add even other veggies like carrots, cabbage etc.
- You can serve it with just toasted bread or make it as a sandwich.
- Choose ripe avocado which will be black in color. I got a semi ripe one and got it ripened within 4 days.
- You can even add chopped raw garlic or sauté it till golden brown then add it.
- You can even mix boiled pasta with the dip.
