Expert Tips
- Use slightly coarse milk powder to give a texture to the burfi.
- Use boiled, warm milk preferably full cream fresh milk.
- Cook until it comes together as a mass, do not cook more as the burfi will become hard.
- You can set it in room temperature itself but takes more time so I always set it in fridge.
- Use a thick bottomed pan, I used my carbon steel pan. You can either use steel pans or nonstick pans. Do not use iron as it gets heated quickly and the chances of burning is high.
- Grind white granulated sugar to a fine powder and use it.
Serving & Storage
Milk Powder Burfi keeps well in room temperature for about 1 day and in fridge for 3-5 days. As milk is also used the shelf life is less in room temperature.
