I love anything with pori so keep trying recipes with it even if its a small variation.I love kara pori and this version is just a slight variation to it.I liked the coconut addition in this namkeen which gives a crunch in every bite.

Murmura Namkeen Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup puffed rice
- 2 tablespoon peanuts
- 1 tablespoon fried gram dal
- 1 tablespoon coconut
- a pinch turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- salt to taste
To temper:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 small red chillies
- a sprig curry leaves
- a pinch hing
Instructions
- Heat oil in a kadai - add the items listed under 'to temper' let it splutter then add all peanuts, fried gram dal and coconut.
- Fry until golden. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste. Give a quick mix. Add puffed rice to it.
- Toss well and switch off. Enjoy Murmura Namkeen!

- Once the spice powders are added do not overcook it will burn the spices, give a quick saute and add puffed rice.
- Add garlic if you like the flavour.
- Feel free to plus or minus ingredients as per your preference.
