Buying Potatoes
Select evenly sized tender potatoes and clean them well before cooking. Do you know – The harder potatoes are the best ones? Do not select the soft ones, wrinkled ones, greenish ones and those which have cut marks. It is not necessary to store potatoes in refrigerator and they can keep good for almost 2 weeks. However storing in refrigerator will increase its shelf life by couple of more weeks. Also do not wash potatoes while storing as dry ones tend to keep long. Potatoes are the most affordable and delicious vegetable across all the times of the year – so make it every time in your vegetable buy list!

2.Is Potato and Baby Potato different?
Yes – The bigger ones are the normal potatoes and the small amla sized potatoes are baby potatoes. Baby potatoes are the baby version of potatoes – tender and more delicious.
3.How do you cook potato?
Potato can be boiled in pressure cooker, instant pot or baked in oven, air fryer. Also it can be cooked in a pan with water. Pricking few holes after boiling the potatoes will enrich the dish that you are going to prepare.
4.Do I need to peel the skin of potato while cooking?
It is best to retain the skin as the nutrients are banked at the skin – So use with skin at all possible times.
5.Can I cook Potato with Non veg?
Yes Potato can be cooked along with Chicken and mutton. However since their boiling times are different, boil separately and add together at the end.
