  • 1/3 cup powdered jaggery
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder
  • water as needed to rinse

Instructions

  • First add 1 cup poha to water.
  • Rinse well a couple of times until water is clear and drain water. I used thin poha so didn't have to soak.If you use thick poha then soak for 2 minutes or until poha turns soft then drain water.
  • Drain water completely.
  • Add it to a mixing bowl.
  • Add 1/3 cup powdered jaggery.

Notes

  • If you use thick poha rinse well then soak for 2-3 mins then use it.
  • I used thin poha so by the times I rinse it became soft.
  • Serve with fresh grated coconut.
  • Add a pinch of salt to lift up the sweetness.
  • You can add ghee fried cashews to it or you can even add broken raw cashews.
  • I recommend using thin aval as it absorbs sweetness and flavors well.
  • You can replace white poha with red poha too.
  • Instead of powdered jaggery, you can add cane sugar or white sugar too.
  • You can even make small balls and serve.
  • You can even add few banana slices and serve.
